Spokane police arrest two suspects in robbery and assault incident

Spokane, Wash. – The Spokane Police Department (SPD) arrested two suspects for robbing and assaulting a person yesterday.

SPD said on July 16, around 4:30 p.m. The incident occurred near Indiana Avenue and Atlantic Street, where officers responded to a report of a robbery and found a victim with a head injury.

According to SPD, the victim had encountered Samantha Thexton, 29, and Tom Blake Jr., 24, in a drug-related interaction. During this encounter, the victim was struck multiple times in the head with an object resembling a stick or pipe. The suspects then compelled the victim to remove his clothes and took cash, a cell phone and clothing before leaving the scene.

Following an investigation, SPD established probable cause to arrest Thexton and Blake for First Degree Robbery. Both suspects were booked into Spokane County Jail; Blake’s bond was set at $50,000, and Thexton’s at $10,000. The victim sustained minor head injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
