Spokane Police Department investigating two North Spokane shootings

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Police Department is investigating two shootings that happened within half-an-hour of each other in North Spokane.

According to the Spokane Police Department, the first shooting took place at 2:30 p.m. around Wilding Drive and Fredericksburg Court.

“911 was advised that shots were heard in the area and that a red SUV was possibly involved. Patrol officers quickly responded and located shell casings, but no victims called in or were located,” the department said.

The second shooting took place just after 6 p.m. on 3300 N Lacey Avenue and caused a minor head injury to a man in the area not caused by a gunshot.

“Information obtained by officers revealed a fight broke out amongst a group of people and a subject produced a handgun, firing the weapon. After the shooting took place, a silver SUV fled the scene,” the department said.
