Spokane police investigate 2 weekend drive-by shootings

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Police Department (SPD) is investigating two drive-by shootings that occurred over the weekend.

On Sunday, July 21, around midnight, SPD responded to a drive-by shooting in the 2900 block of North Stone Street. Callers reported multiple shots fired and several cars fleeing the scene.

During the investigation, three individuals brought a man to a local hospital with a gunshot wound. They reported that the suspect fired shots at their car before fleeing. The victims stated they did not know the shooter. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Additionally, SPD is investigating another drive-by shooting that occurred on Sunday morning, July 21, on the 900 block of East Rich Avenue. A caller reported gunshots coming from a passing car. When officers arrived, they found shell casings but no evidence of anyone being hit or property damage.
