Spokane police search for murder suspect in fatal stabbing incident

SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane police are asking for the public’s help in locating a murder suspect.

According to a press release from the Spokane Police Department (SPD), officers responded to East First Avenue on Oct. 29 after a 911 call was made.

When they arrived, police said the victim had already been transported to the hospital by a passing driver. Investigators later determined the victim had been stabbed during a fight and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

SPD said that after interviewing witnesses, they developed probable cause to arrest the suspect, Orlando Jaramillo, 33, for second-degree murder. Jaramillo is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with brown eyes. Police said that he has an extensive criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on Jaramillo’s whereabouts is asked to contact 911 and reference case number 2024-20225305.
