SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane is ranked in the top 100 cities in the United States with its combination of urban buzz and the outdoors surrounding it.
According to Resonance’s America’s Best Cities, Spokane, Washington, is ranked #73 for the best cities to live in. Considered a hidden gem, Spokane was ranked #31 in Labor Force Participation (the number of employed people in the city) and #38 for rent prices.
“Few cities have benefited from the work-from-home movement more than this eastern Washington jewel that provides year-round outdoor adventure at its doorstep,” said Resonance on their website. “And salary data proves it: the region is enjoying the fastest growth in high-income households making at least $200,000 annually, according to a SmartAsset analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data earlier this year.”
Spokane also has something for everyone of all ages.
Spokane is full of top-rated nightlife and culinary options that both locals and tourists can enjoy. It is also unique for its combination of city and country, with things to do for both outdoor enthusiasts and those who enjoy the buzz of the city.
76 lakes surround Spokane, perfect for all water activities. Riverfront Park is also a hit, with events all year round. You can hike, bike, or skate on the 40-mile-long Spokane River Centennial Trail or swing it at one of the city’s many golf courses.
The city itself has much to offer, with more than 30 breweries, events like Hoopfest and Bloomsday, high-quality performances, the Spokane County Fair, and much more.
“The city’s surrounding wilderness is also woven through its urban grid—a river spanned by gondolas rushes right through downtown—delivering on a long-time motto of “Near Nature, Near Perfect,” said Resonance.
