Spokane sheriff’s search for suspect who broke into shed, started fire on porch in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is asking for help finding a man who was seen peering into a home, breaking into their shed and starting a fire on their porch.

The suspect was spotted in the early hours of May 2 near South Dishman Mica Road and South Madison Road. SCSO said the man was peering into various buildings, breaking into a garden shed and stealing a backpack full of gardening tools and $100.

According to SCSO, the suspect then sat on the victim’s porch and started a fire. The suspect was also observed standing near the victim’s bedroom window, but they were unsure of his intentions.

The suspect caused about $100 in property damage to the fence and lock on the shed.
