SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Public Library, the Spokane Symphony and the YWCA will pair new parents with professional artists to write their children personalized lullabies.
For the second year in a row, the Lullaby project will offer the opportunity for new and expecting parents to have a unique musical composition for their children.
Spokane Symphony Music Director James Lowe is looking forward to the event.
“The power of music can be used to support and unite families during the wonderful and yet challenging times of welcoming a new little member to their households,” Lowe said.
The project will end with a free concert showcasing the lullabies. Those interested in attending should be at the Spokane Central Library at 11am June 15.
