SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Regional Transportation Council has released its plans for 65 projects over the next four years. Now the community will have the chance to give comments and concerns about the construction.
Over $896 million dollars will help fund the drafted projects that the SRTC has released calling it the TIP program.
TIP stands for Transportation Improvement Program with all 65 projects aiming to improve all kinds of transportation systems.
“The TIP contains a wide variety of transportation projects. Some examples include projects that maintain and preserve existing roads, bicycle and pedestrian projects, public transit investments, bridge repair and construction of new facilities like the North Spokane Corridor” SRTC said in a release.
Community members can access an interactive map that outlines the projects and the costs here.
The SRTC also is seeking public input on the projects and can be reached by mail to 421 W. Riverside, Suite 500, Spokane, WA 99201 or phoned in to (509) 343-6370.
There will also be a public meeting where community members can voice their comments through zoom or in person on Sept. 26 from noon to 1 p.m.
Comments are due by Sept. 30.
