SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Valley Fire Department responded to a brush fire on East Upriver Drive Thursday afternoon.
According to the fire department, traffic in the area was asked to slow and drivers were encouraged to avoid the area as crews assessed the situation and took on the flames.
As of 12:20 p.m., the fire was still burning.
