SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — The Spokane Valley Fire Department will produce a cartoon to honor a boy who saved his mother’s life.
According to the Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD), in July 2023, 8-year-old Leonel was nominated for the SVFD Lifesaving Award after he called 911 when his mother suffered a seizure.
The Spokane Valley Fire Department announced that they will debut Leonel’s cartoon on July 30. The cartoon is intended to serve as an example for other children on how to respond during an emergency.
