Spokane Valley home damaged in early morning fire

SPOKANE, Wash. – A Spokane Valley man was treated for smoke inhalation Tuesday morning after his home caught fire.

According to the Spokane Valley Fire Department, the house caught fire Tuesday at around 1 a.m. when a stove was left on, causing a fire that spread to the roof.

Spokane Valley and Spokane County Fire District 8 firefighters knocked down the fire, which was primarily contained to the kitchen.
