POST FALLS, Idaho – A Spokane Valley man is accused of breaking a window to enter a business, stealing several items and leaving behind drugs by the Post Falls Police Department (PFPD).
The alleged incident took place at about 5:30 am according to PFPD. Lance Virgil, a 49-year-old Spokane Valley resident, purportedly broke into the business and left without being apprehended by PFPD.
Later that morning, the department claims that Virgil broke into a truck around 9 am and was arrested by law enforcement after they found him hiding near East 16th Avenue.
Both PFPD and the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office were involved in the arrest, and Virgil was sent to a local hospital to be treated for injuries before being booked in county jail for burglary and resisting arrest.
The department did not say how Virgil sustained the injuries that caused his hospitalization before he was sent to jail.
