Spokane woman accused of stabbing deputy found competent to stand trial

SPOKANE, Wash. — A woman accused of stabbing a Spokane County deputy has been found competent to stand trial, according to a Spokane County Superior Court doc.

, was deemed fit to stand trial, and her court date is scheduled for March. .

. Authorities say she was acting erratically at the time of the incident.

The deputy has since recovered from surgery. Endress, meanwhile, remains in custody while awaiting trial.

According to court filings, Endress has been subject to nine involuntary mental health holds since 2012, including a 90-day hold in February.
