SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office released images showing a woman accused of stealing a purse at a Denny’s restaurant in Airway Heights.
The Sheriff’s Office shared these images on Facebook, highlighting the incident that occurred in December. Investigators reported that a woman mistakenly left her purse at the restaurant, and 26-year-old Madeline Crawford allegedly took it.
Within 20 minutes of the theft, Crawford reportedly used one of the stolen credit cards. Despite the crime happening in December, the Sheriff’s Office did not make an arrest until weeks later.
Crawford was booked into Spokane County Jail on five felony charges and a sixth misdemeanor. She posted a $1,500 bond the following day and was released.
