SPOKANE, Wash. – The famous Spokane steakhouse Churchill’s will be sold and will come under new leadership with the Anthony’s restaurant family.
Bill Alles, owner of Churchill’s, and his wife Renie will be retiring after over 17 years of perfecting the dining experience and look forward to the future of Churchill’s.
“As I move on to my next chapter and spend more time with my family, I am confident that Anthony’s will uphold our tradition of excellence for both our guests and staff,” said Alles. “Renie and I look forward to seeing Churchill’s thrive under their stewardship.”
Churchill’s will not close as part of the new ownership and will remain “the Churchill’s Steakhouse that guests know and love.”
The transition to new ownership is expected to take place near the end of August.
Churchill’s noted that employees are working with Anthony’s leadership during the transition, are in the interviewing process, and will be rehired if mutually agreed upon.
The restaurants will remain at separate locations and will operate as two different businesses.
“For over seventeen years, the great people of Spokane have blessed our endeavors to build a landmark restaurant in the city we are proud to call home. Many of you have become our close friends, even family, and through your continued support, we have thrived in the face of fire, flood, and a pandemic,” Alles said in closing.
