SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Transit Authority Board of Directors voted to reduce bus fares during Expo ‘74 50th anniversary celebrations on Thursday.
Fares will be just 50 cents for the downtown shuttle throughout the Expo celebrations, while fares for the entire bus system will be free on weekends.
STA staff will now work to implement the board-approved change.
Board members City Council President Betsy Wilkerson, council members Zack Zappone, Kitty Klitzke and Paul Dillon and voted for the final approved fare change.
