GEORGE, Wash. – A standoff between an assault suspect and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office ended at around 7:20 p.m. Saturday.
According to the sheriff’s office, a man brandished a gun at two people in George Saturday evening and drove off. Deputies purportedly later found that vehicle near Parkhill and Road 1-SW.
The man then allegedly barricaded himself in his vehicle and refused to come out.
The standoff ended before 7:30 p.m., and while the sheriff’s office didn’t provide immediate details on how it ended, the suspect was treated by medics for exposure to a pepper ball.
