SPOKANE, Wash – May 4 is Star Wars Day, and there will be several ways to celebrate the event throughout the Lilac City.

Those hoping to see a Star Wars movie on the big screen will have multiple options. The Garland Theater will host a “May the Fourth Party” featuring a screening of Rogue One at 7 pm. Screenings of The Phantom Menace will also be featured at several theaters around Spokane.

There will also be exciting ways to experience live Star Wars entertainment this month. A live orchestration of The Empire Strikes Back will take place at the Fox Theater on May 4 and 5 at 7:30 pm.

Spokane International Airport celebrated the day by sharing an image of a Star Wars plane that landed in Spokane in 2022.

For those hoping to attend an event with the family, the Spokane County Library District will host several youth-friendly Star Wars events throughout May at multiple local libraries.

May won’t be the end of celebrations of the galaxy far, far away, as several actors from Star Wars media will be featured at Lilac City Comicon in early June.
