SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Teacher’s Credit Union has announced the agreement to acquire Community Bank which serves small Washington and Oregon communities.

STCU has announced the agreement with $550 million assets protected in the purchase.

Community Bank operates ten branches in Wallowa, Union, Umatilla, and Baker counties in Oregon, and Walla Walla and Asotin Counties in Washington.

The agreement must still be approved by regulatory agencies in Washington and Oregon.

If approved all accounts with Community Bank would be transferred to the STCU network. STCU says it committed to keeping the branch locations and offering employment to previous Community Bank employees.

“We are committed to making this transaction as seamless as possible for Community Bank customers,” CEO Ezra Eckhard said. “We look forward to continuing Community Bank’s long tradition of supporting the communities it serves.”
