STEVENSVILLE, Mont. – Stockman Bank is set to expand its presence with a new location in Stevensville. The bank, which will be located at 318 Main Street, is expected to open in the coming months. This marks Stockman Bank’s first branch in the Bitterroot Valley and its 42nd full-service location in Montana.
Simon McCann has been appointed as the Bitterroot Market President. He will oversee staffing, lending, operations, planning, and development for the new market. McCann, currently an AVP and Ag/Commercial Loan Officer at Stockman Bank in Missoula, has been with the bank since 2020. Prior to that, he worked at a community bank in Big Timber.
McCann graduated from Montana State University Bozeman with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business – Farm/Ranch Management and a minor in Economics in 2016.
A native of Montana, McCann grew up in Havre and spent his youth working on his uncle’s farm. His agricultural background and values have been key to his success in banking. McCann and his wife, Kelsey, enjoy spending time with their two children and exploring Montana’s outdoors. His hobbies include golf, hunting, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, and ranch work.
“We look forward to opening a bank in Stevensville and serving more of our neighbors throughout this beautiful region of our state,” said Bob Burns, Stockman Bank Missoula Market President. “Simon and his team will do a great job of expanding Stockman’s unique brand of Montana community banking and a high level of customer service to the Bitterroot Valley.”
