RATHDRUM, Idaho – A California man suspected of kidnapping and raping a minor in 2002 was arrested in Rathdrum on Thursday evening.
According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Eric Ferguson was wanted by Oakley police for allegedly using a deadly weapon to kidnap and rape a victim over two decades ago.
The sheriff’s office did not provide information on exactly where Ferguson was arrested, although it did say that Coeur d’Alene police and the Idaho Department of Corrections were involved in apprehending him.
Ferguson is currently in Kootenai County Jail and will be extradited to California to face trial.
