RIGGINS, Idaho—The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man last Saturday morning for allegedly stealing from a property in Riggins.

On April 6, at 5:54 a.m., Idaho deputies say they received a possible burglary call on Heath Drive.

Deputies stated that they were dispatched to the scene and met with the reporting party.

The sheriff’s office says information was obtained from the reporting party, and the deputies spoke with the suspect.

Deputies say the suspect admitted to stealing the victim’s property and gave the stolen property back to the deputies, who then gave it back to the reporting party.

Nicholas Gaddis, a 40-year-old from Riggins, was arrested for two counts of felony grand theft, felony burglary, misdemeanor petit theft, misdemeanor trespassing, misdemeanor domestic battery, misdemeanor intentional destruction of telecommunication instrument and misdemeanor using or being under the influence of drugs.

A subsequent search warrant at Gaddis’s residence yielded the discovery of a substance that the Narcotics Identification Kit tested positive for cocaine, which deputies say could result in more charges.
