CLARKSTON, Wash. — A group of vandalism suspects have turned themselves in after they allegedly damaged the Christmas star that overlooks the LC Valley Tuesday night.

On Dec. 20, a group of suspects were seen on surveillance footage going up to the site of the Christmas star in Clarkston.

The star was reported to have been tampered with and the shape was altered to look like a “Pac-man.” This “prank” resulted in over $2,600 in damages as 200 light bulbs were broken and the wiring system was damaged.

The Asotin Lions Club and Whitman County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance footage of the suspects with hopes that someone in the community could identify them.

On Dec. 22, the group of suspects came forward and turned themselves in.

At this time it has not been released if the Lions Club or property owners will be pressing charges or if the suspects will be reimbursing them for the damages done.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available. Check back for updates.
