SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Police Department said that the suspect was not in the house during their search. The department added that investigation and there is no threat to the public.

A SWAT situation unfolded in Spokane in the Emerson Garfield neighborhood on Friday.
According to the Spokane Police Department, law enforcement was alerted to a potential violent suspect on Friday afternoon on East Liberty Avenue and North Lacey Street.
Out of an abundance of caution due to the suspect having prior violent interactions with police, a SWAT team is at the house and a warrant is being prepared to enter the home.
