SPOKANE, Wash. – Unique minds are transforming old buildings in downtown Spokane, bringing new life to the area. The historic Symons Block on South Howard is now accepting bookings for a small luxury hotel.
The Symons Block is set to become a nine-room luxury hotel, a project spearheaded by Alyssa Agee.
“I wanna be here and be part of the solution,” Agee said. “Because I love something unique and different.”
The Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP) sees this as part of a growing trend. DSP President and CEO Emily Cameron also points to the Lusso just two blocks away – a small luxury hotel under the Davenport Collection.
“Soon the Louie (Lusso), as it will be soon known, is going to be another great asset in our inventory when we welcome visitors right here in downtown,” Cameron said.
The Lusso is set to open in February, adding to the budding micro-luxury hotel scene in Spokane. The Symons Block officially opens their doors in January.
Rooms at the Symons Block will range from $99 to $250 per night depending on the chosen room and dates, according to Agee.
