Texas Fire burning in Kendrick remains uncontained

KENDRICK, Idaho — The Texas Fire in Latah County has caused evacuation orders and threatened structures across more than 1200 acres with no containment progress made.

Update: July 16 at 10:30 a.m. – The Idaho Department of Lands issued an update on the wildfire stating that evacuations are still in effect as of Tuesday morning.

Level 3 Evacuations: A Level 3 Evacuation means “GO” Evacuate NOW.

Cedar Ridge from Highway 3 to Linden Rd.Linden Rd. to S Park Rd.Texas Ridge Rd and East Rd. to Sundstrom Rd.

Level 2 Evacuations: A Level 2 Evacuation means “BE SET” to evacuate.

Texas Ridge and Sundstrom Rd to Highway 3Cedar Ridge Rd. at Linden Rd. to Three Bear Rd.All houses west of 1210 Cedar Ridge Rd.

Level 1 Evacuation: A Level 1 Evacuation means “BE READY” for potential evacuation. Any houses 2 miles outside of the listed Level 2 evacuation locations.The Latah County Sheriff’s Office, Latah County Emergency Managment and Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office are working to help evacuate residents. Over 100 firefighters are fighting the fire with more resources being called in. The incident command post will be at Kendrick High School.
