Tripadvisor announces the elite group of winners from its 2024 Traveler’s Choice Best of the Best Hotels Awards, which celebrates the highest-rated hotels in the world based on reviews from Tripadvisor customers. Taking the number one spot for “Top Hotel in the World” is Hotel Colline de France, a boutique hotel in Brazil known for its French elegance and personalized service in the mountain town of Gramado, BR.
Hotel Colline de France is designed to “transport you to the era of the French Empire, providing an experience of luxury and sophistication worth of royalty.” It has been ranked in the top five of Best of the Best Hotel Awards for three consecutive years. The 34-suite hotel is among Tripadvisor’s top one percent of the 1.6 million listings and has more than 4,000 5-star reviews.
The 2024 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Hotel Awards shines a light on the favorite experiences around the world.

The Best of the Best Awards are based on the determination of the quality as well as the number of traveler ratings and reviews. Tripadvisor analyzed reviews over a 12-month period, from January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023, to determine the winners.

In addition to the top hotels by overall reviews, Tripadvisor added three new subcategories to its 2024 award list — best pet-friendly, most sustainable, and wellness hotels.
Based on reviews, Brazil’s Hotel Fioreze Quero Quero is the world’s top pet-friendly hotel. The spot offers acres of open space for pets and owners to explore. In the U.S., the Hyatt Centric Las Olas Fort Lauderdale is the No.1 pet-friendly hotel. Pets are allowed on every floor and in the outdoor garden sitting area to enjoy the Florida Sun.

In the category of sustainable hotels on Tripadvisor, Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape in Bali, took the top spot. Reviewers cite the appeal of its “no walls, no door villa concept,” breathtaking views, and sustainably sourced food. However, this is an adult-only resort, so leave the kids home.
The hotel taking the No.1 spot for best wellness hotel in the world is the Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa. This “oasis of bliss” offers a sports center, diving/water center, gym, and a full spa. It is an all-inclusive sanctuary with an atmosphere highlighted by themed nights and cultural immersion.
