CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Conservative members of Freedom Caucus have achieved a first. They now comprise a majority of the Wyoming House — shifting power away from more moderate or mainstream Republicans. The conservative group has launched an ambitious “Five and Dime Plan” to pass five priority bills targeting immigration, diversity and tax cuts within the first 10 days of a legislative session that began Tuesday. The moves come after Freedom Caucus chapters made gains in several states in the 2024 elections. The conservative network also is launching a new chapter Tuesday in Democratic-led Maryland.
