The Great Pumpkin Fest hosts family-fun event featuring over 10,000 pumpkins

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Great Pumpkin Fest is kicking off the Autumn season with a good cause and lots of pumpkins.

This is the fifth year that The Great Pumpkin Fest has hosted a pumpkin patch and family activities at BrickWest Brewing.

This year, they are partnering with Project ID, a nonprofit that provides recreation, socialization, work, personal development and transitional opportunities to adults with special needs. Raffles and pumpkins can be purchased, and the money raised goes towards Project ID to support its mission.

The festival had a petting zoo on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. All family activities throughout the weekends are free.

The Great Pumpkin Fest grows over 10,000 pumpkins for this event, and leftover pumpkins are donated.

October 12 is the last Saturday of the event. For more information on The Great Pumpkin Fest, visit The Great Pumpkinfest (seeyouatthepatch.org).
