The Great Pumpkinfest hits downtown Spokane again!

SPOKANE, Wash. – Today and tomorrow the “Pumpkin Cowboy” Josh Loera and his team of volunteers will be dropping off over 10,000 pumpkins to the courtyard in front of Brickwest Brewing in downtown Spokane to raise money for local nonprofits.

It’s the 5th straight year of this fundraiser that started during Covid. The Pumpkin Cowboy has raised over $205k for local charities.

Every year Loera and his team drive the pumpkins all the way from their farm in Moses Lake to downtown Spokane. Each year they pick a new local nonprofit to be their main benefactor.

This year they chose Project ID, an organization that works with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Spokane County. You can read more about them here.

The pumpkins are available for sale at Brickwest this Friday, September 27th, until they are all gone.

Each pumpkin is $10 (with some exceptions for mini pumpkins) and there is a $10 raffle. The winners of the raffles each week will be drawn on Sunday night after various events. Winners will get Seahawks tickets, a CDA resort stay and golf amongst other prizes.

All the money will go to local nonprofits, with Project ID getting 50%, and other nonprofits splitting the rest.

There will be a way for you to donate to the nonprofit of your choosing when you purchase a pumpkin.

Loera wanted to give a special thanks to Bill Powers and Brick West, CAD Homes LLC, Umpqua Bank (South Hill Branch), Javier Loera & Family, Jeff Schmidt, all volunteers and the community for supporting TGP.
