SPOKANE, Wash. – Tickets are still available for the Hooptown USA Hall of Fame Class of 2024, which will induct several Spokane basketball legends, including former Gonzaga and former NBA player Adam Morrison.

The induction ceremony will feature notable Spokane basketball figures such as Larry Wendel, a referee in Spokane since 1964 who has officiated every Hoopfest.

Another honoree is Linda Sheridan, a WSU alumna who excelled as a volleyball and basketball coach. During her tenure at Shadle Park High in Spokane, teams coached by Sheridan won 849 games and lost just 222. Her volleyball and basketball teams secured seven state titles and 17 Greater Spokane League championships, and they advanced to state tournaments 32 times. Sheridan passed away in 2013, but her legacy endures in Spokane and Eastern Washington.

Also being inducted is former firefighter and Gonzaga basketball standout Tammy Tibbles, one of Spokane’s earliest female firefighters. Tibbles held Gonzaga Women’s Basketball’s all-time scoring record from 1988 to 2010 and is now co-owner of Spokane Wellness Group.

A former Gonzaga Prep and WSU basketball player, Terry Kelly, will also be honored. Kelly was a founding board member of Hoopfest.

Finally, Gonzaga basketball star Adam Morrison will be inducted into the Hooptown Hall of Fame. Morrison gained national recognition for leading Gonzaga to multiple NCAA tournament appearances. Drafted by the Charlotte Bobcats in 2006, he won an NBA championship with the Lakers in 2010. Morrison is a color commentator for the radio broadcasts of Gonzaga men’s basketball team.

Tickets for the ceremony cost $15 and can be purchased here.
