MEAD, Wash. — Attention all skiers and snowboarders! Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park will open Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.!

From 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Dec. 13, the park will have three lifts up and running including Beginner’s Luck (chair 4), Parkway Express (chair 3) and Illuminator (chair 2).

Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park says that all visitors should be ready for various conditions at the bottom of the mountain. So with current conditions, it may not be time to break out the new skis or snowboards.

There will be limited terrain tickets on sale for Dec. 13-17 and they will be $45. Also, if you are a beginner, you can book private lessons before you arrive!

If you don’t want to hit the slopes, don’t worry, Lodge 2 will be open for all visitors who are wanting to relax. There will be retail and service shops open throughout the day.

Even though Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park opens Dec. 13, you won’t be able to rent equipment until Dec. 16. So if you don’t have gear you may need to wait!

As of now, Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park will not be selling lift tickets past Dec. 17 due to weather conditions. If the park receives more snow they will remain open, if not they may need to close down and wait for cooler weather conditions!

The ski park planned to open on Dec. 2 this year, but based on the changing weather conditions and lack of snow, they had to postpone. But hopes are high that Spokane could still have a snowy winter.
