OLYMPIA, Wash.-More people are hitting the road for summer road trips and the Washington State Department of Transportation recently released a work zone traffic safety video to help people get to their vacation destinations safely.
In addition to road trips, summer is also road work and construction season, with crews working on projects across the state and the DOT is reminding drivers to slow down and move over when entering a work zone.
Work zones can be dangerous for both drivers and workers, however, some simple tips and common courtesy can ensure the safety of both drivers and workers on the road.
