SPOKANE, Wash. – The I-90 west exit ramp at Thor and Freya will reopen tomorrow after nearly three months of closure, while the eastbound exit ramp will close.
The exit on the I-90 west at milepost 284 has been closed and was set to reopen on , but got pushed back to June 20.
, the project was delayed by two weeks due to adverse weather conditions, necessitating extra time to ensure the concrete’s durability.
“Again, remember we’re doing that in concrete,” said Kirstin Davis, Communications Manager for the City of Spokane. “Concrete takes a lot longer; it’s a stronger material and it will last longer, so these kinds of concrete projects do take more time.”
The eastbound exit will close tomorrow at 6 a.m. for improvements, including concrete additions to intersections, replacement of curbs and stormwater facilities, ADA upgrades, and water and sewer replacements.
