AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – Avista Utilities responded to a large power outage in Airway Heights and Medical Lake on Tuesday, leaving thousands without power.
The outages are affecting over 5,000 customers and were reported around 6:51 a.m. Tuesday morning, impacting Fairchild Air Force Base, Airway Heights Corrections Center, and many other businesses within the area.
The estimated time of restoration is 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, and the cause is still under investigation.
Avista said in the project comment, ‘The outage has been reported. We are identifying and scheduling resources to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.’
