MOSES LAKE, Wash. — Moses Lake police and Grant County sheriff’s deputies arrested three people believed to be responsible for a gang-related drive-by shooting.
According to deputies, the shooting occurred at around 12:15 p.m. today in the Larson Community. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Deputies said that witnesses described a car pulling up in front of a home in the 900 block of Lowry Drive, where the occupants flashed gang signs and yelled obscenities. A backseat passenger then fired two rounds in their direction before the vehicle sped away.
Police said they quickly located the suspects’ car on Northshore Drive in Moses Lake. The adult male passenger who fired the weapon was taken into custody and is currently held in the Grant County Jail on several counts of first-degree assault, according to police. The two juvenile suspects are also in custody, and police said that they are facing an investigation for their involvement in the drive-by shooting.
The name of the adult suspect and further details will be released tomorrow.
