COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – A new Trader Joe’s store is opening its doors in Coeur d’Alene, bringing excitement to the local community.

The store, located in a building over 10,000 square feet, will operate daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The opening day festivities include a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Store Captain Jackee Pillar. The new store has hired over 70 regional employees and transferred some from nearby locations. The store’s artwork is inspired by local landmarks such as Tubbs Hill, Paul Bunyan, and the Resort Marina, adding a unique Coeur d’Alene touch.

Justyne Collins, a fourth-generation Coeur d’Alene native, is among the eager shoppers. Collins, who has traveled to cities like Boise, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Manhattan to visit Trader Joe’s, expressed her enthusiasm for the new store.

“I’ve wanted a local Trader Joe’s for several years,” she said.

Since discovering the option to request locations on Trader Joe’s website, Collins has publicly requested a Coeur d’Alene location. For those planning Thanksgiving shopping, the store’s website notes that frozen turkeys will arrive on Thursday.
