AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — Travelers who take US 2 through Airway Heights should plan for delays as construction begins near Lyons Road.
The Washington State Department of Transportation confirmed the Kalispel Tribe hired a private contractor to install a roundabout at Lyons Road and US 2.
Construction will begin the week of June 3 and continue through the end of September. Lane restrictions will be in place in both directions throughout the project.
“The new roundabout once constructed will provide safe and controlled access to Kalispel Tribal properties to the north of US 2 and Lyons Road to the south while efficiently moving traffic through the area, WSDOT said.
