Traffic moving after shutdown on I-90 due to police activity near Four Lakes

SPOKANE, Wash. – Updated on Oct. 23 at 9:15 a.m. – Authorities say that one-armed suspect was detained and traffic on I-90 has reopened.

Updated on Oct. 23 at 9 a.m. – Traffic came to a stop on I-90 after police found a disabled car with a person inside refusing to exit.

The Washington State Department of Transportation released details about the incident, explaining that the car involved had previously been stolen.

When troopers arrived at the scene, they encountered a situation where the occupant of the car refused to exit.

This led to all lanes of I-90 being stopped, resulting in a traffic delay. Local authorities are handling the situation, aiming to clear the roadway as soon as possible.

A detour is in place for I-90 traffic as police address the incident.
