Two arrested in connection with murder of Moses Lake man, drugs seized in warrant

WARDEN, Wash. — Two people were arrested in connection with the murder of a 44-year-old Moses Lake man.

According to the Moses Lake Police Department, the department’s tactical response team served a warrant at a home in the 600 block of Road U SE, near Warden, as part of an investigation into the man’s death.

Police arrested Marla Duplichan, 57, at the home on charges of controlled substance homicide and delivery of a controlled substance. Authorities also seized a significant amount of illegal drugs, including 1.5 pounds of heroin, 7 ounces of fentanyl, 271 fentanyl pills, and smaller amounts of cocaine and meth.

Moses Lake police later located the second suspect, Joshua Jenkins, 42, during a traffic stop. He was arrested on charges of controlled substance homicide and delivery of a controlled substance in connection with the same victim.

Both Duplichan and Jenkins were booked into the Grant County Jail on the charges.
