MATTAWA, Wash. – Two people were injured, one critically, after a truck crashed with a car on Highway 243 near Mattawa.

According to a press release from the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the incident occurred on Friday around 6 a.m. A truck was traveling northbound on Highway 243 at milepost 3 when it veered off the roadway to the shoulder and overcorrected, causing the car, which was traveling southbound at the same milepost, to roll onto its side.
