Two injured in semi-truck vs. car accident on Redwolf Bridge in Clarkston

CLARKSTON, Wash. – Asotin County rescue crews responded to a semi-truck vs car accident on Redwolf Bridge; two people were injured as a result of the crash.

According to Asotin County Fire District 1, on Wednesday at around 10:15 a.m., firefighters responded to a crash in which semi-truck crashed into a car.

Asotin County firefighters and Lewiston Fire Rescue teams arrived and said they found a logging truck and a passenger van had crashed head-on and ended up in the westbound lane of Highway 128 right at Redwolf Bridge.

Firefighters said the log truck driver was out of his truck, but the driver of the van had to be extricated from his van.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, according to firefighters.

Traffic was blocked for about 30 minutes while patients were prepped for transport. Traffic on the Clarkston side of the bridge was diverted to alternate routes.
