Two men arrested at The Gorge for allegedly possessing three pounds of drugs

GEORGE, Wash. – Two Oregon men were arrested for alleged drug possession at The Gorge by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the office, the men were arrested during a concert and were in possession of about three pounds of popular concert drugs, including shrooms, marijuana and cocaine.

Sheriff’s deputies were called by Gorge security after bags of drugs were seen in the car of the two men when they were entering the campground area.

Evan McCoy and Jesse Rams could face charges of possession of cocaine, shrooms and marijuana with intent to distribute. They are currently in Grant County Jail.

While recreational marijuana is legal in Washington, the Sheriff’s office said that the pending charge was related to the amount of the drug on the Oregon men at the time.

“This was illegal marijuana in a quantity intended for distribution, not a personal-use size quantity of legal marijuana,” the office claimed.

The arrests were coordinated by the Grant County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team.
