SPOKANE, Wash. – Two people were saved from a burning truck by good Samaritans Tuesday after a crash off Interstate 90 at the Garden Springs exit.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) said that a car hit a wall and then a tree while traveling eastbound on the exit.
The good samaritans, siblings, Amy Reisenhauer and Bryan Thomas, managed to pull the couple inside the car out before it was fully engulfed in flames.
“It’s a human-being in there. It’s a human life. I would want someone to come get me out of the vehicle in that situation,” Reisenhauer said.
One of the victims was left with severe injuries. The other sustained moderate injuries. Both were taken to the hospital.
