Two teens killed in DUI-related crash on State Route 27 near Rockford

ROCKFORD, Wash. – Two teens have died following a three-car crash near Rockford, reportedly caused by a driver under the influence.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), , where a northbound vehicle driven by a 33-year-old man under the influence crossed into the southbound lanes. One car was driven by a teen, and two other passengers from Spokane were traveling southbound.

WSP reported that the intoxicated driver collided with the teens’ vehicle, causing both cars to come to rest off the side of the road. Debris from the crash also struck a third car driven by a 51-year-old, resulting in a flat tire. Fortunately, the man was uninjured.

Patrol troopers confirmed that two of the teens, identified as Rogan Murrell, 18, and Jayneat Morgan, 17, died at the scene, while another teen was airlifted to a hospital.

The driver under the influence, identified as 33-year-old Jesse Roullier, has been charged with vehicular assault and vehicular homicide according to WSP.
