SPOKANE, Wash. — U.S. Highway 195’s southbound lanes have reopened. The northbound lanes are still closed, and there is no estimated time for when they will reopen.

A ten-acre fire is burning near U.S. Highway 195.
According to Spokane Fire District 8, U.S. Highway 195 at Mullen Hill Road is closed as fire crews put out a brush fire in the area. There have been no reported injuries and no structures are in danger. SCFD8 sent out scooper aircraft to help combat the flames. However, the planes were delayed because a drone was in the area. Crews on the ground were successful in creating a bulldozer line to contain the fire.
This fire is under investigation.

U.S. Highway 195 is closed in both directions due to a brush fire in Spokane.
According to the Washington Department of Transportation, U.S. Highway 195 near Mullen Hill Road south of Spokane is closed due to a brush fire. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
