MOSCOW, Idaho – A student who began working on his degree in 2001 graduated from University of Idaho with his bachelor’s degree this month.
Jon McKenzie graduated along with his two children as a part of the Vandal Finish program, which helps nontraditional college students who already began working on a degree complete their education.
His son Carson obtained a BA in Film and Television and his daughter MacKara obtained two degrees, one in psychology and another in communication.
Traci Craig, the associate dean of the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences, congratulated 2024’s graduates.
“Helping Idaho’s working adults finish their degrees is not only fulfilling but also speaks to the foundational mission of Idaho’s land-grant university,” Craig said.
