US Marshals arrest child rape suspect in Spokane Valley after fleeing Texas

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — The United States Marshals arrested a man in Spokane Valley after he fled from Texas, where he was reportedly accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

According to a spokesperson from the U.S. Marshals Office, the suspect, identified as Ervin Mefiboset Molina-Jordan, 27, was apprehended near East Mission Avenue and North Bates Road with help from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Border Patrol.

Marshals reported that on July 22, 2021, Molina-Jordan allegedly sexually assaulted a child under the age of 17 in Burnet County, Texas. Investigators determined that Molina-Jordan had fled Texas after the incident and lived in Spokane Valley.

Deputies stated that Molina-Jordan was arrested without incident and booked into the Spokane County Jail, where he will await further legal proceedings.
