USPS ensures timely delivery of election ballots

UNITED STATES – Ballot security is a major focus this election season, and the United States Postal Service (USPS) is playing a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery. Recent updates reveal that over 98 percent of ballots have been successfully delivered to voters and returned to election boards on time.

The USPS is implementing extraordinary measures alongside their established procedures to handle ballot mail efficiently. These measures include extra deliveries and collections, special pickups, expanded processing facility hours, specialized sort plans, and local handling and transportation.

To enhance security, the United States Postal Inspection Service has partnered with several state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies to safeguard election mail.

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious mail or ballot activity to the Postal Inspection Service hotline or online at uspis.gov/report.

For those who have not yet submitted their ballots, it is recommended to take them directly to the local elections office and submit them in person.
