COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Eagle, a chocolate lab who is training to become an Idaho Disaster Dogs recovery canine, joined the team in late 2023. She is having a barking good time preparing for the role.
According to Idaho Disaster Dogs, Eagle is learning how to follow scents and obey commands so that she can become an emergency response dog.
Her handler is a member of the City of Coeur d’Alene Fire Department. Eagle enjoys playing tug and fetch with her family when she isn’t preparing to save lives.
